Ventilation Testing

Proper ventilation is essential for maintaining indoor air quality, occupant comfort, and overall building performance. Ventilation testing verifies that a building’s mechanical ventilation system is delivering the correct amount of fresh air as required by current energy codes and standards.

Most building codes, including the IECC and standards such as ASHRAE 62.2, require ventilation testing to ensure that homes and buildings are not under-ventilated (which can lead to poor air quality and moisture issues) or over-ventilated (which can waste energy and increase utility costs).

At Assured Building Compliance, we test and verify ventilation systems by measuring airflow rates at exhaust fans and supply points using calibrated equipment. This includes bathroom and kitchen exhaust fans, whole-house ventilation systems, and other mechanical ventilation components. We confirm that airflow meets design specifications and code requirements, and provide documented results for inspections and compliance.

Our testing helps ensure your project passes inspection while delivering a healthy, efficient indoor environment.
